Terms of Service

Dara is a personal finance tool designed for Nigerian freelancers. It helps you track income from bank credit alerts, estimate tax liability, and plan savings and investments. Dara is not: • A licensed tax adviser, financial adviser, or legal service • An investment platform or brokerage • Regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria • A substitute for professional financial, tax, or legal advice All tax calculations are estimates based on published PITA rates. All investment platform mentions are informational. Always verify with qualified professionals.

To use Dara, you must: • Be at least 18 years old • Be a resident of Nigeria or earning income subject to Nigerian tax law • Have a valid Gmail account for income detection • Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

You are responsible for: • Keeping your login credentials secure • All activity that occurs under your account • Ensuring the accuracy of information you provide (state of residence, occupation, manual entries) Dara reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Dara requests read-only access to your Gmail account via Google OAuth 2.0. • We only scan for bank credit alert emails from recognised Nigerian banks • We do not read, store, or process personal emails, drafts, sent mail, or attachments • You can revoke access at any time via Google Account settings or Dara Settings • Our use of Gmail data complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements

Tax calculations provided by Dara are estimates only, based on: • Published PITA (Personal Income Tax Act) rates • Your self-reported state of residence • Income detected from bank credit alerts (which may be incomplete) • Standard Consolidated Relief Allowance (CRA) deductions Dara does not guarantee the accuracy of tax calculations. Tax laws change, and individual circumstances vary. Always consult a qualified tax professional or your state's Internal Revenue Service before making tax payments. Dara is not responsible for penalties, interest, or consequences arising from reliance on its estimates.

The investment tracking feature is a planning tool only. • Platform names (PiggyVest, Risevest, Cowrywise, etc.) are mentioned for informational purposes only • Dara has no affiliation, partnership, or commercial relationship with any investment platform • Dara does not provide investment advice, recommendations, or risk assessments • Balances and returns shown are self-reported or estimated — they may not reflect actual account values • Past performance does not guarantee future results Dara is not registered with or regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria.

• Free tier: No payment required, limited features • Paid plans (Solo, Business): Billed monthly in Nigerian Naira • Cancel anytime from Settings — no penalties or lock-in • Refunds: Pro-rated refunds available within 7 days of billing • Payments processed via Remita — Dara does not store card details

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). Key points: • You can export all your data at any time (CSV format) • You can delete your account and all data from Settings • We never sell your data to third parties • See our Privacy Policy for full details

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law: • Dara is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind • We are not liable for financial losses arising from reliance on Dara's estimates, classifications, or suggestions • Our total liability is limited to the fees you've paid in the 12 months preceding any claim • We are not responsible for errors in AI classification — always review your transactions

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via: • In-app notification • Email to your registered address • WhatsApp (if you've opted in) Continued use of Dara after changes constitutes acceptance.
